By tweaking the wattage and the size of the filament, we’ve made sure there are no “hot spots.” You won’t have to worry about a sudden burst of heat burning delicate skin. It’s just a steady, gentle warmth. A few tips for the install When you’re wiring these in, keep an eye on the initial inrush current. These lamps have low resistance when they’re cold, which can be a bit rough on your gear. If your contactors aren’t built for that peak load, you’ll likely burn out the points.
