We build our ceramic heater around a PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) element. It self-limits at high temperature instead of chasing runaway heat. That inherent control keeps core temperature predictable, but it doesn’t protect the joints unless the leads are sealed like a proper component—not like a quick splice. So we do a true OEM-grade seal: high-temperature wire gets crimped to solid terminals, then potted and compression-sealed right where it exits the ceramic body. The result is a barrier that survives repeated thermal shock, not just a one-time bench test. In the real world, that means fewer open-circuit failures after hundreds of cycles, and a lot less insulation breakdown near the hot zone.

Keep the heater in a protected outdoor spot, and plug it into a grounded outlet with a cord that isn’t stretched across walkways. If you’re retrofitting an older heater, confirm your mounting and airflow match the unit’s clearance needs. Good ventilation helps keep internal temperatures within the seal’s safe range.
